Robert, “Bob”, Eugene Hall, age 94, of Gladwin, passed away surrounded by his family and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 4, 2025. He was born on March 13, 1931, the son of William and Clella (Duckworth) Hall, in West Virginia. On July 29, 1951, he married the love of his life, Betty Knox. Together, they shared almost 74 years of love and cherished memories. Bob was a dedicated employee at General Motors, where he was employed as a laborer for many years until his retirement. He had a passion for classic cars and tending to his flowers each summer.
He was an amazing dad and grandfather and enjoyed dining out and visiting with friends and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; children: Linda Rau, Vicki (Roger) Boyer, Ruthann (Darrell) Schlese, Tony (Pat) Hall, Kim (Dave) Wohlschlegel, and Janelle (Mike) Keen-Burgoyne; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren with three on the way; brother, Raymond Hall; sister-in-law, Cathy Hall; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clella; grandsons: Chad Searfoss, Jamie Franklin and his wife, Jennifer; granddaughter, Shannon Hund; son-in-law, Frank ‘’Lynn’’ Rau; along with several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025, 12 p.m., at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Gladwin with a luncheon following the service. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy in Bob’s honor are encouraged to do so to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
