MaryJane B. Kepes
MaryJane B. Kepes, born February 17, 1934, in Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2023, in Gladwin, MI. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind a large and loving family. Her children, Debbie Starnes, David Starnes, Diana Stoyanovitch, and Denise (Jimmy) Sharp, will remember her fondly, as will her 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a soon-to-be-born great-grandchild. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis T. Kepes; her parents, James and Hazel (Martin) Jarrard; two brothers, Mel Jarrard, and James Jarrard; and three sons, Donald Starnes, and Dwayne Starnes.
MaryJane had a passion for life that was evident in her many interests. She found joy in music, the thrill of bingo, and the craft of crocheting. She was also known for her love of playing the lottery and her fondness for fishing. Above all, she had a deep love for all animals. MaryJane’s spirit, love, and zest for life will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her loved ones.
A memorial service will be held on September 23, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. at Grout Township Hall.
