Karan R. Maki (Mather/ Matz), age 79, of Coleman, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023. She was born on June 10, 1943, the daughter of John “Jack” Mather and Edna Carman in Flint.
She loved bingo, pool, and euchre. She knew how to party, and always had a fun time with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Leonard Maki; daughters, Kimberly Matz and Johanna (Johni) Matz; grandchildren, Ronald (Savannah) Bentley III, Joshua Bentley, and Dillon (Jade) Matz-Gagnon; greatgrandchildren, Zackary Bentley, Ronald Bentley IV, Liberty Bentley, and Brexley Matz; along with her sisters, Patricia Fahrner, Rosemary (Fredrick) DeGroat, and Maryann.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, May 13, 2023, 1 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
