Judith J. Cogley, 83, of Beaverton, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. She was born on August 24, 1939, the daughter of Clarence and Harriet (Paavo) Wagner in Houghton. On February 14, 1959, she was united in marriage to James “Lucky” Cogley in Livonia. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She retired from Gladwin Manufacturing in the early 80s and was actively involved in the Albright Shores Eagles 3655. She was known as the cake lady and was always baking her specialties to raise money for cancer. Her hard work and efforts for the greater good was just an example of her giving personality.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Thomas and Melissa of Anchorage, Alaska; Dawn and Philip Taylor IV of Beaverton; brother, Robert and Donna Wagner of Gladwin; grandchildren, Philip, Krysta, Shaylin Kayla, Cody; greatgrandchildren, (known as pancake nana to them) Judith J. Cogley
Alexis, Kaylee, David, Jaxson, Kitana, Eli and Hope; great-great-grandchild, soon to be Braylynn; along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Joseph “Edward” Wagner, Joyce Little, Barbara Bobrowski, and Clarence Wagner; and special friend, Tom Day.
