Ellen Louise Worley
Ellen Louise Worley, age 88, of Gladwin, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023. She was born on August 8, 1934, the daughter of Carl and Sadie Cooper in Detroit. She was joined in marriage to her husband, William Worley in 1954, and together they shared a storybook love for over 69 years. They moved to Sugar Springs in 1993, previously residing in Warren.
Together they loved to travel and have been to many parts of the world. She enjoyed reading books and gardening. Ellen was devoted to her faith and was a member of the New Beginnings United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William Worley; sons, William Jr. (Jeannie) Worley and Robert (Debra) Worley; grandchildren, Jamie Evick, Tara Christensen, Billy Williams, Kyle Worley, and Scott Worley; greatgrandchildren, John, Trevor, Jackson, Izzy, Michael, Addy, Kennedy, Riley, Abe, Cooper, Abigail, and Max.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother: Richard.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 10, 2023, 1 p.m. at New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Gladwin. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church. She will be laid to rest at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
