Donald Greaves
Donald Greaves, age 76, of Gladwin, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024. He was born on December 16, 1948, the son of Aaron and Violet (Huntley) Greaves, in Gladwin. On June 20, 1970, he married the love of his life, Penny Whitfield. Together, they shared 54 years filled with love and cherished memories until she preceded him in death in 2024.
Donald was a proud veteran of the United States Army, he spent 23 years serving his country until his retirement. He loves hunting, fishing, and taking trips to the casino. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons: Carl (Raina Broadstone) Greaves and Ronnie (Chauntel Lorenz) Greaves; grandchildren: Kayla (Cody) Wessel and Braxtin Muma; great-grandchildren: Logynn and Luke Wessel; sister, Ruth Patnode; brother, Ronald Greaves; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Violet; wife, Penny; son, Donald Aaron Greaves; brothers: Larry, Robert, Archie, and Elmer; and sister, Virgeline Doan.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation was held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin.
