Elizabeth Huisjen and the Gladwin girls’ cross country team opened the season Saturday with a good performance against top competition at the Pete Moss Invitational.

With defending Division 1 state champion Ann Arbor Pioneer at the top of the standings, the Gladwin girls’ cross country team faced quite a challenge by opening the season Saturday at Benzie Central’s Pete Moss Invitational.
Pioneer won the team title with just 46 points and nobody else in the field of 12 was particularly close.
