The search for the perfect Christmas is over thanks to the Holiday Art Fair happening at Midland Center for the Arts. The Fair, slated for Nov. 19 and 20 will feature 40 local artist vendors inside the Brick Lobby, giving shoppers the chance to go home with handmade items and special gifts for the most wonderful time of the year.
“The sights and sounds of the holiday season will be in full swing this weekend as we bring the Grinch himself into the Auditorium and celebrate the works of locals artists with the Holiday Art Fair,” added Andrea Bollinger organizer of the Holiday Art Fair at Midland Center for the Arts. “With all of the activities taking place at the Center for the holidays, there are fun and exciting events for the entire family.”
With items ranging from Michigan handmade products to paintings, pottery, jewelry, ornaments, woodwork and much more, there is sure to be something for even the Grinch on each list.
Speaking of the green curmudgeon, the festivities at the center continue with the smash hit, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical.
Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical is the record-setting Broadway holiday sensation which features the hit songs “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” from the original animated special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original illustrations transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville and helps remind us of the true meaning of the holiday season.
