The Gladwin Rural Urban Fire Dept. responded to a call around noon on Monday when a Malley Construction dump truck caught fire while parked toward the rear of a property at 895 Chappel Dam Road. The truck had recently been parked and the engine was off when it burst into flames. The damage was limited to the engine and front end of the vehicle and one of the tires exploded in the blaze.
