NATIONAL WHOLE GRAINS MONTH

Whole grains include the entire seed of a plant and is composed of three parts:

Bran – The outer shell of a seed or kernel is hard and contains important minerals, antioxidants, and fiber

Endosperm – The next or middle layer contains most of the carbohydrates found in grains
