The Gladwin County Conservation District hosted its 12th Annual Cedar River Cleanup Friday. A group of volunteers gathered at City Park and launched kayaks for a six-mile trip down the river, cleaning up along the way. A total of 269 pounds of trash and debris was collected, including several shoes, three tires, two popped inner tubes and a camping chair, among the pop bottles and other litter.
