The opening of firearm deer season brought buck poles to both Gladwin and Beaverton over the weekend. Gladwin (at right) hosted a “Hangin’ on Cedar” event on Opening Day Saturday, while Beaverton (at left) hosted its event Sunday at Ross Lake Park. Results are not yet official, but early indications are that 100 percent of the bucks polled expressed disapproval of legalized hunting.
