GLADWIN
The Back 40 Taxidermy is bringing back its Hangin’ on Cedar Buck Pole event to Gladwin on Saturday, November 19. Previously held on Antler Street, the event will now be held at Piper’s Pub.
The buck pole will take place from 6-9 p.m., and all bucks must hang until 9 p.m. There will be live music from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. Deer drop will start at 2 p.m.
Prizes will be given out to those who participate. Prizes include a free shoulder mount for biggest buck, $500 Jays Sporting Goods gift card for a random buck, a hunting rifle for a youth buck, $200 Back 40 gift card and free processing at Lambert’s Meat Market for the heaviest deer, and a hunting rifle for best women’s buck.
There will be a beer tent set up at the event and live music will be provided by the Todd Michael Band. Successful hunters should be sure to show off their deer at the second annual Hangin’ on Cedar Buck Pole for a chance at a prize, and possible bragging rights.
