The Gladwin American Legion Post 171 and Auxillary went to the area assisted living homes and presented veterans there with a Christmas package and spoke to them about their military service. The Veterans were thanked for their service and saluted. The homes visited were: Gladwin Pines, Gladwin Living and Rehab, The Brook, Horizon, and Heavenly Homestead. This was initiated last year with the help of Cheryl Steele, from West Branch, and we wanted to continue it as it is a very rewarding experience.
