Food distribution at Christ The King

GLADWIN COUNTYThe Gladwin/ Beaverton Community Food Distribution (GBCFD) will be hosting it’s next distribution on Feb. 21, 2026 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 S. M-18, Gladwin.Address verification will be required for all food recipients. The handing out of food, will begin about 10 a.m.

Gladwin Gathers at the North Park Winter Wonderland Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5 p.m. During those hours, residents are welcome to take part in sledding and ice skating. Sleds and skates are available to borrow. There is also a fire pit and a warming shed that offers hot cocoa and treats.

GLADWINFamily Fun Festival, sponsored by the Gladwin Church of the Nazarene, will take place on May 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gladwin County Fairgrounds, 401 S. Over the past 83 years, this photo has been published at least twice in The Record – once was to honor veteran’s day in November 2021. This, however, is a brand new scan and restoration from an excellent-condition postcard recently purchased on Ebay.

The Daum glass factory of Nancy, France, is famous for its cameo glass, but that isn’t the only kind it made. When Jean Daum founded the factory in 1875, he made cut and enameled glass.
