Many people these days are only aware that Gladwin once had a railroad connection because they see the old depot on the corner of State and Cedar. But that is not where it was originally. That building once stood just north of where the cooler and parking lot are behind the Pizza Hut.

GLADWINE ach year select students from Skeels Christian School (SCS), in third through 12th grade, participate in several academic competitions within the Michigan Association of Christian Schools (MACS). Grades third through sixth are tested in English, history, math, and science.

Health and Safety Fair April 19

FARWELLThe 21st annual Paula Pirnstill will be held at Farwell High School, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., with lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A heart healthy meal of fresh ratatouille and homemade chicken noodle soup. Water and coffee will be available as well.

Many celebrate Easter as a holiday. It is considered a Christian Holiday, celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The secular celebration seems to be focused on the Easter bunny, basket, colored eggs, and lots of candy!
