Veterans Day, a federal holiday, was selected to occur on the 11th day, of the 11th month, at the 11th hour to commemorate the end of World War I in 1918.
This Veterans Day, 11 a.m. at Veterans Park (next to the courthouse) will feature a program to honor Gladwin County’s veterans of the U.S. armed forces.
