GLADWIN COUNTY
As an artist, Jan Oldani loves to share her many talents with friends and family. Jan has been painting for over 50 years, starting with small art projects for her children and family.
When she moved to the Beaverton area, Jan began taking lessons and hasn’t stopped since. Jan has a love of all things that lead to creativity, whether it being concrete art, watercolor, paper crafting, or one of her favorites, fluid acrylic pouring.
Jan has been on the Gladwin Area Art Guild Committee for four years and her first fluid art received honorable mention and last year she won second place with her painting.
When a person is recognized for something they created, it’s very humbling and awesome at the same time. This year at the Gladwin Art Walk, two of the paintings she displayed were done by her grandchildren, Ben Wessel (15) and Janelle Harris (17). It was such a joy to share her techniques and guide them through the process.
Their art is displayed proudly in her home. You will see some of her other art projects when you stop in to the Gladwin County Record & Beaverton Clarion office. Original Christmas cards as well as some of her paper crafting. Jan would like to thank her friends at the Sugar Springs Art Club, and the Gladwin Area Artist Guild.
