WEST BRANCH – Non-profit Hospice of Helping Hands, Inc. teams are currently selling tickets for their popular annual Duck Race – a free fun family event being held on Saturday, July 1 from 12-1 p.m. in Irons Park of West Branch.
Hundreds of brightly colored plastic ducks are numbered and dropped/splashed into the river for their annual trek to raise funds to help provide services to Hospice of Helping Hands’ non-insured and under-insured patients, as well as free community outreach services/programs including We Honor Veterans, Camp Warm Hearts family grief camp, and other memorial events.
Cash prizes of $100, $50, and $25 go to the first three ducks that cross the finish line – even the last place duck wins you $25!
How do you get a chance at being one of the winning ducks, you ask? You contact one of our Hospice of Helping Hands fundraising volunteers in your area, or come to the Hospice of Helping Hands office at 4th and Houghton Avenue in West Branch between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. Tickets are only $2 each, or a bargain at $5 for a book of three tickets. Tickets will be sold through 12 p.m. on the day of the race, July 1. If your ticket number matches the number on one of the winning ducks – you win the cash!
