GLADWIN – Studio 61 has moved from its previous location near the Save-A-Lot in Gladwin to a downtown central office building next to Pale Blue Smoking Co. (111 Cedar Ave.). The move came shortly after the business first came to the Gladwin area in August of 2020.
Tiffy Skrzysinski-Kinsman previously worked in a studio in West Branch, beginning in 2017, and decided to make a move to Gladwin with a new studio. Studio 61 (a play-on M-61, the road the business is located off of) offers photography services as well as clothing and apparel.
The business features a studio above the storefront, where Tiffy primarily focuses on family and wedding photography.
“I wanted to provide families with a captured moment that they could cherish,” she said.
She believes in the importance of family as she runs the business with the support of her husband and her three young children.
During a time of uncertainty for small businesses, Tiffy has credited her many connections with some of the successes she’s had over the past year.
“We lost a lot of business with wedding cancelations and venues closing,” she said.
She anticipates a higher demand in photography in the near future when all of the postponed weddings and events finally take place.
“Even with moving from the old location to this one, I’ve met a lot of new people that have been very helpful. In a way, the apparel side of the business has also allowed us to pick up where the pandemic left us.”
Studio 61 offers high-end and high-quality apparel at an affordable price. Some of the clothing offered by the studio includes pre-made designs made through S & H Engraving.
“I enjoy working with other businesses and being able to promote what they do for the community.”
Tiffy ties together her apparel and photography with her client closet. The client closet offers customers an opportunity to use some of the clothing she keeps at her store in their photos.
Studio 61 will be celebrating its grand opening at the new location on Saturday, April 10. Tiffy looks forward to serving the community in a safe, friendly and fun way.
