GLADWIN – On Tuesday, November 3, Tim Hood, the newly hired President of Mid Michigan College, presented to the Gladwin Rotary Club, providing information about himself and updates on how the college is weathering COVID-19 restrictions. President Hood came to Mid after 16 years as a faculty member and then an administrator at a community college in Illinois. He and his wife have five daughters, all of whom started their college educations at community colleges. He and his family had vacationed in our area, and now are enjoying making their home here.

President Hood discussed COVID-19 and stated that Mid is ahead of the issue. With great planning, Mid has not dropped any programs. According to President Hood, “the best investment for our community is education.” Hood concluded the meeting by answering questions from rotarians and guests in attendance.

Rotary asks those interested to join the Gladwin Rotary Club at a meeting to see if rotary is for you! The group meets on Tuesdays at noon at the Riverwalk Grill in Gladwin.
