A nap right after breakfast is a great way to start the day! In spring it seems a little cooler, so a comfy throw still works, and it shortens the time to the next meal; lunch! Not that I’m food-oriented mind you, but I read that if you eat several small meals a day, it is better for you than eating just three meals a day. I have mastered the multiple meal concept, now I have to work on the “small” portion of this meal plan. I’m very excited about the plan to eat my way to thinness!

As my food coma married up to my sleep criticality, the nap began! My naps range from a mindless hibernation to time travel episodes, flying, eating in castles, of course, the romantic episodes and nightmares. I seem to dream in color, although scientists disagree. Most dreams seem so real it is difficult to separate them from reality. Maybe they are both realities! Current scientific thinking is that the only reality that exists is the one created by the human observer. Parallel universes might be created all the time when people are dreaming.

Whatever the case, I wish my thinking, praying, or universal consciousness of our planet would fix the current universe I live in. My doctor recommends not watching the news to keep my blood pressure down. Habits are hard to break, though. I love watching the news – primarily for the weather reports. Even though the “Mediocre-ologist’s” never seem to the predict the future weather that well, they do a great job telling you why it rained on a predicted sunny day. They invent new words all the time like “Pop-Up” storms, bomb cyclone, Arctic express, Alberta clipper, etc. But still, they are correct sometimes. If I’m going to take the dogs for a walk, I look at my iPhone for the local weather. I check out the hour by hour prediction, but the one that seems to work is the weather map. If it’s clear, no clouds, storms on the screen, it might be safe to walk the pooches!

If I watch the news, it sometimes makes it difficult (but not impossible) to quickly reach nap nirvana. I remember the news when I was younger seemed tame by today’s standards, except for President Kennedy’s assassination, war footage, landing on the moon, and election coverage. I guess I should just watch the weather channel, but they like to scare the heck out of viewers with shows like “Tornado Alley” “Storm Chasers” and “Hurricane” documentaries. If I watch the shopping channel, I spend too much, food channels make me eat too much and reality shows about people I don’t know and with no actors that I recognize, leave me bored. History channels make me feel old, and kid channels don’t have the same feel to them as the cartoons painted frame by frame ones.

I woke up from my respite and realized I must have napped too long ,its lunch time! I missed a few small meals already this morning, I will try to make them up this afternoon and evening!
