GLADWIN COUNTY – We have been overwhelmed by the amount of Gladwin County businesses that have kept Christmas Kindness on their hearts and in their minds, especially in this pandemic year.
For example, Beginning November 11 through November 24, Kentucky Fried Chicken will be collecting money, purchasing toys, and donating them to Christmas Kindness children. We hope you will support them in their endeavor to come alongside Gladwin County’s Christmas Kindness Program!
Another example, Richardson Automotive in Gladwin heard through the “grapevine” that Christmas Kindness was concerned about not having many of our Gladwin County children “adopted” this year, so they immediately set out to find ways they could offer financial relief. Their kindness to Christmas Kindness will allow several children to experience the “joy side” of Christmas this year!
Probably one of our most “cheerful givers” is Elmer’s Crane and Dozer. Kevin Graham bounces into our Christmas Kindness office every year to bring smiles to our volunteers’ faces. His joy is infectious, and he never leaves without giving a sizable financial donation from Elmer’s Crane and Dozer.
Then there are those like the DeShano family and DeShano Industries as well as the Jerry and Inez Kaleto family and Robinson’s Industries; who, since the beginning (10 years ago), have always been faithful in their generous support of Christmas Kindness. Local businesses are always finding new and creative ways to help meet the many needs of struggling families in Gladwin County. Seriously; we couldn’t provide for almost a thousand kids without their generosity!
Finally, we also want to give a huge “shout out” to Family Farm And Home, Pale Blue, and Lambert Meat Market who have also had us in their hearts. Their plan for a “buck pole” on November 15, where all proceeds would go to Christmas Kindness, may not be able to happen this year due to COVID-19. However, just the fact that they were desiring to find yet another creative way to bring both warmth and joy to many Gladwin County families through Christmas Kindness is worthy of our praise and gratitude!
Please support these businesses, as well as all of the businesses in Gladwin County. There are many others, not included in this particular article, who do so much for our local families through Christmas Kindness. They truly love and care about the people who live here, and work hard to provide the many services our communities need. Let’s express our gratefulness by supporting our Gladwin County businesses. As always; Thanks for your kindness to Christmas Kindness!
