GLADWIN COUNTY – The Gladwin County Record & Clarion has teamed up with many local sponsors to establish the Gladwin County Animal Photo Challenge for 4H members who have missed out on their participation in the Gladwin County Fair this year.
The contest will provide three winners who have received the most votes with cash prizes. First place will be awarded with $1,000, second with $500, and third place with $250. The submission round has already taken place, and the first round of voting began on Monday, July 27. The 18 participants in the contest include: Chloe Bruner and Heidi Inscho with four of their lambs; Justin Bailey and his two pigs, Fire Cracker and Sparkler; Elizabeth Hoag and her lamb, Thomas; Brytan Muma and her pig, Dewey; Jack Willford and his pigs, George and Martha; Mirsyah Schuler and her pig, George; Rylie Palmateer and her pig, Gilt; Bryar Pollard and her pigs, Johnny and June; Bryar Pollard and his rabbit, Lego; Riley Sprague and his rabbit, Loki; Daniel Sprague and his goat, Maverick; Emalee Mesler and her horse, Nelly; Jadyn Bair and her pigs, North and South; Avery Hite and her pig, Odin; Madisyn Lockwood and her pig, Wilson; Cole Lockwood and his pig, Ronald; Danielle Klamer and her horse, Whisper; Alaina Cuddie and her horse, Chewy.
The first voting round will conclude on Sunday, August 2 and will then be followed by a second and then final round of voting. The winners will then be announced the week of August 17. The winners will be determined by public vote and the votes cost 50 cents with a minimum of a $5 purchase.
