I like the Bible story of Mary Magdalene going to the tomb of Jesus on Easter morning. It states, “Meanwhile, Mary stood weeping beside the tomb. Even as she wept, she stooped to peer inside, and there she saw two angels in dazzling robes. ‘Woman,’ they asked her, ‘why are you weeping?’ She answered them, ‘because the Lord has been taken away, and I don’t know where they have taken him.’ She had no sooner said this than she turned around and caught sight of Jesus standing there. But she did not know him. ‘Woman,’ he asked her, ‘why are you weeping? Who is it you are looking for?’ She supposed he was the gardener, so she said, ‘sir, if you are the one who carried him off, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.’ Jesus said to her, ‘Mary!’”
It seems like everyone is looking for Jesus! Mary and Joseph found him in the temple. The two men on the road to Emmaus found him when he broke the bread. The Magi and shepherds found him in a stable. Simeon and Anna found him when he was presented in the temple. Saul found him on the road to Damascus. He was found at the wedding of Cana. St. John the Baptist found him when he was baptized. The soldier found him at his crucifixion. His disciples found him in the upper room.
