BEAVERTON – Faithann Brubaker was awarded National Honor Society Member of the Month for the month of November. Faithann was given member of the month because of the countless hours she puts in for the backpack program, basketball tournaments, and all of the other things she is constantly doing for our community. When asked what her favorite volunteer opportunity was she stated, “The backpack program because it’s a time that I can help the students in our community directly”. Faithann is currently our chairperson for the backpack program.
Faithann is extremely active in school as well as NHS, she is involved in GLADYAC, Beaverton Band, Spanish Club, Beaverton Pom Pon and Gail Wildfong School of Dance’s competition team. She has also been given student of the month, the “Cut Above” award and has been on the honor roll for the duration of her high school career. We asked Faithann what advice she would give other members hoping to become Member of the Month and she stated, “Keep your word when you sign up for volunteer opportunities, and if you have the extra time to help, it will make you feel better about yourself and be a better person in the long run.”
