BEAVERTON – The annual 4th of July celebration took place in Beaverton last week, with the theme of “Michigan and the Great Lakes”. Popular activities this year were the 2nd annual Cornhole Tournament, the parade through downtown Beaverton, and the crowd favorite – fireworks over Ross Lake Park.

The yearly celebration is a highlight for Beaverton, as it draws crowds from all over the state and is a long running tradition for many Gladwin County families.
