HELP WANTED CITY TREASURER The City of Gladwin is accepting applications for City Treasurer. This is a professional and administrative position which serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the City. This position is charged with administering and supervising all financial aspects of the City, including budget preparation assistance and monitoring, accounting, financial planning and investments, collection of property taxes and other revenue paid to the City, calculating capture of tax increment revenue, calculating depreciation, tracking fixed assets inventory, coordinating audits, and other financial duties. Excellent communication, analytical and supervisory skills with Treasury experience and/or BA/BS in business, finance, accounting, public administration or related field is required. CPA or CPFA Certification is a plus. We prefer a candidate with 5+ years of experience in municipal finance with a high degree of computer literacy, including knowledge of BS&A software and Excel with strong knowledge of GAAP.
