Michigan National Guard collaborates with Michigan Department of Natural Resources to complete state park upgrades

LANSING Aseries of construction projects, executed in partnership between the Michigan Army National Guard and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, will occur at Wilderness State Park from May 3 to May 13. In the last four years, MIARNG members have partnered with the DNR to upgrade facilities at four state parks and nine recreational areas, saving taxpayers over $1.8 million, while facilitating training opportunities for our National Guard members.

Shirlee Jeanne Baker Shirlee Jeanne Baker, age 65, passed away in her home in the early morning hours of Sunday April 28, 2024. She won her first fight with breast cancer in 2020, but when it came back over these last few months, it proved to be too aggressive to overcome, but she didn’t go without a steadfast fight.
