Myrtie Josephine King, 99, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away after a long illness on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012. She was born in Grout Township in Gladwin County on Aug. 17, 1913, the daughter of Irvin and Ida M. (Stephenson) Linabery. She married Elmer King on Dec. 6, 1933. He predeceased her in 1982. Myrtie had lived in Gladwin County her entire life, was a homemaker and owner/operator of King’s Midway Store on S. M-18 in Gladwin County for 19 years. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy (James) Buzzell of Gladwin, and Shirley (James) Burrel of Midland and Florida; son, Harold (Carol) King of Georgia; son-in-law, Jim Seaver of Auburn; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and greatgreat- grandchildren; and two sisters, Bernice Dull and Fern Pagano, both of Midland. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer King; daughter, Marilyn Seaver in 1997; great-great-granddaughter, Maddie Kraus; and brother, Linford Linabery. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Withrow on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, from 5-9 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery, Gladwin.
