Man arrested after reportedly assaulting son

BILLINGS TWP. – According to reports from the Gladwin County Sheriff Department, a Billings Twp. man was arrested Sunday, Sept. 30 after his son reported that the man hit him after a fight about a phone bill. Police say Troy Allen Neldon had picked up his son from the fire hall, and while traveling on Wieman Road, the pair began arguing over the bill, at which time the son reportedly jumped from the vehicle and went back to the fire hall to report the incident. Neldon was arrested later that day at his home. He was arraigned Monday, Oct. 1 in 80th District Court on two counts of Assaulting/Resisting/ Obstructing a Police Officer; and one count of Domestic Violence. He is set for Preliminary Exam on Oct. 15, 2012.
