BEAVERTON – Barbra Streisand, Patsy Cline, Aerosmith, Elvis ? There’s no telling who might show up at the STARRY NIGHT fundraiser for Beaverton’s new Activity Center. Local impersonators will be performing Country, Rock, and other classics at a fun night out at Beaverton Bowl and Lounge on Saturday, April 20 at 8 pm. Proceeds will go to help fund the new Beaverton Activity Center, located at the corner of M-18 and Tonkin Street. The Beaverton Activity Center is comprised of a group of volunteers who began working in July of 2011 to repurpose the two story building in Beaverton. Believing there is a potential to create a Beaverton Activity Center, with activities that preserve local history and enhance the year-round economic, educational, recreational and social well-being of residents, they began offering programs in October 2012. Anyone is welcome to join the group’s efforts. Future plans call for a good deal of expansion that will bring a wide range of activities to Beaverton. Tickets may be purchased at the event, or in advance at Schumacher Insurance Agency and Family Hair Care Salon, both located on M-18 in Beaverton. Admission is $10, and is limited to people 21 years or older. A cash bar will be available at the Bowl and Lounge.
