CLARE –Walter and Carolyn Bay, owners of T. Bill Stables, of Clare, received a certificate of Recognition from the State of Michigan on May 5, 2012, for their work in the Quarter Horse Industry. The Bay’s began breeding race horses in 1986, and with lots of time and hard work have raised “Cold Cash 123”, the first Michigan-bred horse to be voted World Champion Racing American Quarter Horse. This achievement signifies qualities much admired by the people of Michigan. “Cold Cash 123” has continued his winning record by winning the Leo Stakes at Remington Park in Oklahoma in March of 2012 and continues to race. Presenting the plaque of Special Tribute, was Joel Johnson, State Representative, at the Mt. Pleasant Meadows Race Track on Saturday, May 5.
