Kenneth D. Johnson Sr.

Kenneth D. Johnson Sr. passed away peacefully March 15, 2024, surrounded by his children and their spouses, after a hard fought battle with PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) and cancer. Kenneth was born on January 17, 1960 to Dorothy Jean Killian and Talmage Johnson.

Ken lived in Gladwin most of his life. He worked at Lyle Industries for 17 years. Ken enjoyed spending time golfing, attending his grandchildren’s events, and spending time with his family. He was an avid fan of Gladwin sports, especially if his grandchildren were playing. He rarely missed an event.

Ken is survived in death by his step-father, Wayne Bentley; children: Jamie (Mark) Reynolds, Kenny (Angela) Johnson; six grandchildren: Emma, Delaney, Maggie, Kahler, Ella, and Gavin; brothers: Tom (Candy) Johnson, Bill (Pam) Johnson, and Arn (Michelle) Jensen; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Talmage Johnson; mother, Dorothy Jean Bentley; and his four-legged best friend, (Kenny’s Second) Chance.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Grace Christian Church in Gladwin. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service with a luncheon to follow.
